2NE1 is a South Korean hip-hop girl group that debuted in 2009 and was named “Best New Band in the World” by fan votes through MTV. The group’s name combines “21st century” and “new evolution” and is pronounced “twenty-one” or “to anyone.” The four members of the group are CL (Lee Chae Rin), Bom (Park Bom), Dara (Sandara Park) and Minzy (Gong Min Ji).
