ERU is the stage name for an award-winning Korean American pop singer, songwriter and composer. Born as Jo Sung Hyun on July 5, 1983, in New York to Korean parents, the singer moved to Korea when he was 7 years old, returning to the United States to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2003. He is the son of one of Korea’s most popular trot singers, Tae Jin Ah. He debuted as a singer in 2005. Watch the music video of his popular song “White Tears.”
