Kim Dasom is a South Korean singer and actress best known for being a member of the K-pop girl group SISTAR. Born on May 6, 1993, Dasom won a number of contests for her poems and songwriting prior to her 2010 debut with SISTAR. She made her acting debut in the 2012 television drama “Shut Up Family” and went on to star in “Melody of Love” (2014) and “The Eccentric Daughter-in-Law” (2015), as well as the film “Like a French Movie” (2015). Dasom also has been a popular guest of the reality shows “Running Man,” “Law of the Jungle” and “My Little Television.”

Kokdu (Kim Jung Hyun) was once a human male who lived in Korea’s past. The gods have turned hi into an immortal grim reaper who must come to the mortal realm every 99 years to ruthlessly punish humans for their weakness and frailty. He has come to despise humans, and is now cruel and pitiless. When he comes to the mortal realm this time around, he “possesses” the body of a promising young medic named Do Jin Woo (also played by Kim Jung Hyun).

But he finds his mission to send souls to the afterlife compromised when he must fulfill Do Jin Woo’s medical duties. This leads him to cross paths with Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang), a doctor who graduated from the lowest-ranking medical school in South Korea. Despite her unpromising background, however, Kokdu discovers that Han Gye Jeol has mysterious powers – and seems to have him under her spell. Could his fate have been intertwined with hers in a past life? Why does she have the ability to enthrall him so? Will he complete his mission – or could it be derailed by love?

Next, in “A Lady at the Bar,” two men at a bar both take a fancy to the same woman and try to win her affections. Which of these suitors will she choose? Or is she interested in neither? Third, in “A Remaining Time,” a couple who love each other decide to ask a soothsayer about their future. But this turns out to be a fateful moment: She tells them that if they stay together, they will surely die – and must break up within 100 days or pay the ultimate price… In the titular “Like a French Film,” a man dotes on a woman who works a night shift, bending over backward to please her with his every action. And in the final tale, “2016. New Year's Film,” new beginnings are all around as January 14 dawns.
