See the screen print below First on the main screen, on the second line there are 3 orange characters and the last one has a down arrow The first one is Register, the second Login, the third with the down arrow is where you can see your videos after you upload once you logon. To Upload a video to Tudou here are the steps (see screen prints below): On the top line on the main page, there is an orange box with an up arrow in it. Click on that to go to the upload page On the upload page, beside the first box there is a button, click on that and select the piece you want to upload from your computer On the second box (Video Name), put a name. I am not sure how the name you put works but I have been keeping it standard. So if I am uploading OBGYN EP 15 part 1 I would call it GY151 On the third box (description) Using the same OBGYN example would put GY15p1 On the fourth box (Category) I haven't figured out what each one is but I select 2 which I think is... This topic is for segmenters to learn how to delete a segment, change ' No Voice' to language or vice-verse. 1) Click on the exclamation mark in circle to change status of a segment. 2) To change a segment to 'No Voice' 3) To delete a segment: Changing 'No Voice' a) Click on ' No Voice' segment to start making changes. b) Select language of your choice c) Save it and done. Broken links have been a regular happening these days. When a broken link is fixed, more often than not, the voice and subs become out of sync. Even if this is by 1 sec, viewers will still complain. Instead of trying to adjust each segment individually, there is a relatively easy way of fixing out-of-sync videos. You do this via the video relink function. Only authorized and super segmenters have access to this function. Unfortunately, you need to have the actual URL of the video (youtube, yahoo etc). With this available, launch the video. Cutting A Segment Quickly When I first started segmenting, I was told to make sure that the subs will pop up before I hear the voice. This of course is difficult. I tried to do this by watching closely the actors' mouth and cutting when I think they are about to speak. This did not work very well and I kept adjusting and refining. Needless to say, I took a long time (1.5 hrs) to segment a 7 min video. It was also exhausting. Eventually I tried another technique which I find gives pretty decent segments without taking too much time. I suspect many experience segmenters are doing the same thing.
