Several thousand international and local fans were in attendance for Korean superstar Rain's last concert over the weekend.

Rain's final stop of his concert titled "Rain The Best Show," held at Seoul's Olympic Park Stadium on September 24, began with an introduction video and powerful performances of his dance track "Hip Song" followed by "TOUCH YA" and "YOU."

The concert will mark his last performance in Korea before he enters the military on October 11 to fulfill his mandatory two-year service required of all Korean men.

He had held shows in Busan, Daegu, Jeju Island, Gwangju and Daejeon since August.

At the concert, Rain performed a slew of his hit songs including "In My Bed," "How to Escape the Sun," "Only You," "My Girl" and "Seoul Girl" which is a cover his latest tune "Busan Girl."

He then chose a Japanese fan to join him on stage for a serenade where he greeted her in Japanese and sang his song "I Do" and gave her a teddy bear and roses.

The concert continued with several more of Rain's songs such as "With U," "Fresh Woman," "I'm Coming," "Love Story" and "Rainism" while there was a special show of a performance in the dark as well as his band's performance of singer Park Jin-young's "Honey."

Towards the end of the show, Rain said, "The concert is almost over but I will return to the stage if all my fans continue to scream 'ENCORE."

He then took to the stage for "Me" which he sang under the rain and gave his encore performance of songs "Bad Guy," "It's Raining" and "September" and ended the show with "Instead of Saying Goodbye."

Rain, real name Jung Ji-hoon, is considered one of biggest stars in Korea and throughout Asia since the start to his solo singing career in 2002.

He expanded his career into acting with roles in "Sang Doo! Let's Go to School" and "Full House" and made his Hollywood film debut in 2008 in the Wachowski Brothers' action pic "Speed Racer" and landed the lead role in martial arts film "Ninja Assassin" a year later.

Recently, he finished filming "Take Off: Closer to the Sun (translated title)" which is a remake of the 1964 Korean movie "Red Muffler" alongside actors Sin Se-gyeong, Kim Sung-soo and Yu Jung-sang.
