
KBS TV series "Glory Jane" bowed out of the Wednesday and Thursday primetime lineup in first place during the final week of December.
"Glory Jane," starring Park Min-young and Chun Jung-myung, brought in viewership ratings of 21.8 percent for its 23rd episode while raking in ratings of 20.2 percent on its final episode on Wednesday night.
The sports drama, which showed for the past two months, was also the most-watched show on AGB Media Nielsen's chart after recording viewership ratings of 19.7 percent on its final episode.
In the meantime, MBC's "Flower, I Am," featuring E Ji-ah and Yoon Si-yoon, ended its two-month run this week in second place with ratings in the nine percentile range.
Major broadcaster SBS, whose primetime series "Deep Rooted Tree" ended last week, aired their annual music program "2011 Korea Pop Music Festival" last night featuring performances by some of the biggest names in the music scene including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, CNBLUE and Boyfriend.
Starting January 4 of next year, romantic comedy "Wild Romance," starring Lee Dong-wook and Lee Si-young, will take over the Wednesday and Thursday primetime spot for KBS, "The Moon Bearing the Sun" (translated title), featuring Kim Soo-hyun, Han Ga-in and Jung Il-woo, will premiere on MBC and "Take Care of Us Captain," an aviation series starring Ji Jin-hee and Ku Hye-sun, will begin its run on SBS.
