Hello
Viki is a place where you all should have the right to sub as long as you can access the videos...
But to do a good job, there's always a procedure to follow.
1/Check whether you can access the videos or not
You want to sub on a drama? Before contacting anyone or asking anything, check the main page to see if this drama is licensed or not, or try to open a video of an episode to see if you can access it or not.
Especially for korean dramas, some channels are restricted and only people living in a particular area and/or qualified contributers can access the videos.
If you can't access the videos, there's no use in asking if you can sub them: how could you sub a video that you can't even watch?
2/ Contact the moderator of your language
On every channel, you have a "Contributors" tab, with a "Staff" section.
That's where the manager (= the creator) and the moderators (= people organizing the channel and the subbers) are listed.

Check the staff (don't forget that this section can include several pages) to find a moderator of the language you want to sub into. If there's no moderator for this language, contact the manager of the channel.
Ask:
- If you can sub the channel (please tell which channel, most of the people have several projects)
- If there's any rule you have to follow (most of the channels will ask you to not sub into other languages than english while the english subbers are working or when the avatar says stop).
3/ Make sure to know all the rules for subbing into your language
Some managers do a topic (available in the "Posts" tab of the channel) to give indications such as:
- You uses the formal / informal languages?
- What is the right spelling of the names?
- Do I use <br> in the subs? (<br> is used in a sub instead of the entry touch of the keyboard as the entry key is used to save subs)
etc. etc.
Respecting these indications will help the work of the editors in your language.
