This laughter, and all things that are near me, doesn't belong to me.

I can't continue to live like this, as a fake person.

Therefore the real person must disappear from this world.

If there is God, I will one day ask for his forgiveness and pay for what I've done.

But now isn't the time.I will take all that belongs to him.

When Kang Il looked back, there was never a time in his childhood when he was happy.
Kang Il, who had no mother, lived in Busan with his often drunk father. He would always hold his father's shirt tightly as he slept, afraid that he may even lose his father.
Then his father really disappeared one day. And on his neck, he found a locket necklace around him.
He knew about the necklace very well.
It was given to them by a Tae Kwon Do instructor, who had lived with them for a bit.
His father, a neighborhood hoodlum, was said to have been saved by him.
And in that story, there was a boy involved and he was the same age as Kang Il.
But when the man left his necklace and moved to China with his son, Kang Il's father returned to his normal habits.

So Kang Il would live as a low life.
And one of his act as a low life was to fool a woman into thinking that he was her long lost son.
He would live a life as a prince of second generation conglomerate, but this wouldn't change the fact that he was a low life.

He had never heard anyone say a caring word to him before.
He had lived at the children's shelter ever since his father left him.
And had lived his life without much of a thought since he left the shelter at an age of 15.
He had lived like this until he became the lady's son.
She was Kang Mi Hwee, who owned one of the biggest hotel chains in Korea.
It was a life changing opportunity for Kang Il.
Kang Il knew that Mi Hwee's son was the Tae Kwon Do instructor's son, who had left for China.
But He could not pass up on the opportunity to change his life.
Mi Hwee confidently believed that Kang Il was her son when she saw the locket necklace.
Kang Il would live his life as the successor of the hotel conglomerate, taking place of someone else.
Although Kang Il had become a person that no one can deny, with the help of the social and economic influence of Siel Hotels, he would have nightmares about the real son returning.
He'd get rid of the real prince in his nightmares, over and over.
It wasn't a big deal. It wouldn't hurt his conscience to do something like that.
Either way, it had been a life full of lies.
But it would get harder to lie as time passed on.
And it was because Mi Hwee would love Kang Il unconditionally.
Even though he knew that Mi Hwee's love was for her son, it would be the first time anyone has loved Kang Il so much.
Kang Il wouldn't know what to do. He would be shaken by Mi Hwee's loving smile.
Mi Hwee was too young for Kang Il to consider as his mother, and she was just another woman.
Mi Hwee would give him everything, as she had felt guilty for leaving him to grow up without her.
She would try to to raise him with love, but Kang Il would be confused as it was the first time he had received such an unconditional love.

It was about then when Kang Il heard the story about the Tae Kwon Do instructor in China.
That the real prince who would take away all his belongings was in China.
Kim In Suh.
Kang Il really wanted to see him.
Kang Il would leave for China to find In Suh, but on the way, drop the locket necklace in the river by a mistake.
He would jump into the river for the necklace, and like destiny, he'd be saved by the man he come to get rid of.

Upon returning to Korea, Kang Il waited for In Suh to come find him.
But a woman named Chae Hwa would come instead.
She was a spunky, rude woman who was also a compulsive liar.
But there was intense look in her eyes.
Looking at the locket necklace Chae Hwa had in her hand, Kang Il believed that she would know where In Suh was.
So he held onto her, thinking that he can use a woman like this, a compulsive liar, in anyways he wanted to.
Kang Il would use her against Mi Hwee's love and Ka Young, who would be his partner in an arranged marriage.
Kang Il wouldn't feel bad about doing anything to Chae Hwa, "You're a piece of waste, just like me."

But, Kang Il mistakenly hadn't realized.
That he'd seek Chae Hwa whenever he needed something done..
Always whining and asking Chae Hwa for everything, just like a child..
