Sung Yuri's new weekend drama Feast of the Gods is getting ready to premiere in a week, so here's our first look at posters and teasers for the show. It's a 32-episode drama about chefs who battle it out in the kitchen, and in this case it's a specialty restaurant that features only the very traditional Korean cuisine served in palaces of yore. Sung Yuri plays a naturally gifted chef and Seo Hyun-jin (The Duo) the hardworking overachiever and her rival to be the new head chef. They also have Lee Sang-woo (Thousand Day Promise's Oppa~!) AND Joo Sang-wook (TEN) to fight over as well. Sigh. So much pretty.

The posters seem to be the usual fare, with everyone looking bright and colorful in their uniforms and featuring a taste of the food porn that'll be a prominent feature of the show. But the teasers are another thing entirely. The first one is upbeat and cute, about a plucky chef, featuring little teaser moments between the love square. So… what we expect…
But then the second one is some crazy makjang birth secret cryfest, and suddenly I have no idea what this drama's going to be. Is it Gourmet or is it Temptation of Chef? Did I step into the Twilight Zone?

Split personality, right? Argh. I was all ready to look past the genius-perfect-taste bit for Sung Yuri's character and just buy into it, assuming Lee Sang-woo and Joo Sang-wook would cover over a multitude of sins. But I may have been blindsided. This is what happens when you let yourself get distracted by pretty things.
Well Feast of the Gods premieres next Saturday, February 4 on MBC. So I guess there's only one way to find out.
