[10] Kim Suna to promote SBS TV series in Japan this week

Korean actress Kim Suna will promote her SBS TV series in Japan this week, according to her agency King Kong Entertainment on Monday.

King Kong said in a press release that Kim will promote "Scent of a Woman" with her fan meeting "One Fine Day with Kim Suna" (translated title) at the Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo on December 20.

Kim, who left for the country on Sunday, will meet with various local media outlets for interviews today while the show is scheduled to air next month on Japan's KNTV.

"We decided that we wanted to invite Kim to Japan to talk about the series since she is quite popular in the country already through 'My Name is Kim Sam Soon' and 'City Hall,'" an official with KNTV said in the statement.

Recently, Kim visited Singapore and Malaysia with "Scent" co-star Lee Dong-wook to promote the series in both countries.

"Scent" tells the story of Lee Yeon-jae (Kim) who finds out that she only has six months to live. She then tries to fulfill the things on her 'bucket list' before dying when she meets Kang Ji-wook (Lee). The two fall in love and together start to discover the joys of life.

The show, also starring Seo Hyo-rim and Um Ki-joon, was sold to the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar and Vietnam.

Kim Suna, who grew up in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese, shot to stardom throughout Asia with her comedic role in hit MBC TV series "My Name Is Kim Sam Soon"(2005).

She returned to the small screen three years later with "When It's At Night" and "City Hall" and recently starred in the film "Tuhon" opposite actor Kim Ju-hyeok.
