Introduction to Thai Drama (things you need to know :D)

There are some words that if you know, it would be easier to understand the drama:


lakorn = thai drama

sawaddee = hello/hi or goodbye

krub = polite word that end the sentence (for male)

ka = polite word that end the sentence (for female)

khun = mr. or ms. used in front of the name to call people with respect, polite as well (both female and male)

chan = I, more of casual word for I (used by female more often but can also be used for male too)

di chan = formal word for I (female only)

pom = I, more of casual word for I (used by male only)

kra pom = formal word for I (male only)

Pee/P' = used in front of name to call someone that is a little older, like older brother or older sister

Nong/N' = used in front of name to call someone that is a little younger, like younger sister or younger brother
