Korean boy band BEAST will take part in a Christmas concert in Japan in two months time, according to their official Japanese website. On Tuesday, their website showed that BEAST will perform at the "'My Princess' X'mas Concert'" which will take place at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo on December 17. The website also revealed that Song Seung-heon and Kim Tae-hee will participate in the festivities for the concert, while the two have already visited the country to promote the show since its premiere on Fuji TV in August. Kim Tae-hee has been cast as the main character to a Japanese TV series, according to a Japanese media outlet on Thursday. Japan's daily paper Sankei Sports reported today that Kim will star in "僕とスタ?の９９日" (translated into '99 Days with a Star') opposite Japanese actor Hidetoshi Nishijima starting October on Fuji TV. Nishijima is a critically acclaimed actor in his home country -- he won the award for best actor at the Japanese Professional Movie Awards in 2000 and the prize for best supporting actor award at the Yokohama Film Festival in 2009. Hallyu star Lee Byung-hun will hold a series of fan meetings in Japan this December, according to his agency BH Entertainment. BH announced in a press release today that Lee's meet-and-greet titled "Lee Byung-hun on Stage 2011" will take place in three major cities in Japan and accommodate a total 60,000 fans in late December. The statement went onto explain that the upcoming fan event will be hosted by famed Japanese musical actor Imamura Nezumi. Actor Lee Byung-hun has left for the U.S. to shoot Hollywood's sequel to blockbuster movie "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra." Lee's agency BH Entertainment issued a press release on Thursday, saying that Lee left for the U.S. yesterday to get ready to film the movie in New Orleans on August 15. Lee left early to take time to adjust to the time difference and analyze his character before the film cranks in, BH explained. Lee, 41, will reprise his role as Storm Shadow from the first movie, as will actors Channing Tatum, Ray Park and Arnold Vosloo do so as Duke, Snake-Eyes and Zartan, respectively. Actor Lee Byung-hun will leave for the U.S. next week to film Hollywood's sequel to blockbuster movie "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra." An official at Lee's agency BH Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone on Tuesday that the actor plans to depart for the U.S. early in the week to get ready for the filming of the movie, now known simply as "G.I. Korean actress Kim Tae-hee will mark the official start to her acting career in Japan by taking on the female lead in an upcoming Japanese TV series. Various Japanese media reported today that Kim signed on to play the female lead in a weekend drama opposite Japanese actor Nishijima Hidetoshi which will begin its air on the primetime spot on Japan's Fuji TV. Little information regarding the show has been revealed, other than the fact that Kim will play a Korean who immigrates to Japan and will speak in both Korean and Japanese.
