Singer Se7en has received quite an honor overseas, from China. According to YG Entertainment on April 14th, Se7en was given the Best Overseas Performer award at the 2012 China Music Award & Asian Influential Awards which took place on the 13th. This is the 16th edition of the awards ceremony since 1994, and it seeks to honor the representative talents of Asia. Previous Korean winners have included Lee Byung-hun, Kim Tae-hee, and Jang Woo-hyuk. On January 18th, Korean star SE7EN released his first Japanese single of 2012. On April 25th, the singer will be releasing his second Japanese single of 2012. The new single will include an original Japanese song rumored to be titled "When I Can't Sing", as well as Japanese versions of songs from his Korean mini album in February. The mystery behind YG Entertainment's recent post saying "2012.02.01" has finally been unraveled with a surprise. While everyone was expecting that February 1st was the release date of Big Bang's comeback album, it was revealed that it was actually SE7EN's comeback date. Today, YG Entertainment shared that SE7EN will release a mini album on 1st February. Its tracklist will be as follows: 1. Somebody Else 2. An upcoming song by Korean singer Se7en has been selected as the ending song for a new Japanese TV series. On Thursday, Se7en's official Japanese website showed that his track "SOMEBODY ELSE" has been chosen as the ending theme song for Fuji TV's "Shimura Hotel" set to air every Wednesday starting January 11. In the meantime, Se7en's new Japanese mini-album will go on sale on January 18 and is composed of five tracks including the aforementioned song, "Angel," "UNDERSTAND ~今さら~ and the Japanese version of his hit songs "Better Together" and "I'm Going Crazy." Top Korean agency YG Entertainment will hold a special exhibition to celebrate its 15th anniversary in the industry, according to a press release from the agency on Monday. YG announced that the special exhibition, featuring the albums released by YG throughout the years as well as screenings of the music videos, will be held at the G-Arche located at the Gangnam Station in Seoul from November 26 to January 5 of next year. The exhibition will also feature a special display of 'kiss' molds of the current YG artists including Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Gummy, PSY and Tablo. Korean singer Se7en will release a new album in Korea and Japan early next year, according to his agency YG Entertainment. A PR official with the agency told 10Asia over the phone on Wednesday that Se7en's upcoming album will be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan as early as January of next year though they are still in discussions on the format of the record.
