Singer-actor Kim Jun of TV series "Boys Over Flowers" fame will enter the military on September 29.
The news came through a message Kim wrote on Twitter account on Tuesday which said, "(Sigh)...... I'm going on the 29th of this month!"
An official at Kim's agency Planet 905 confirmed the date as well while adding that he will serve his two-year mandatory military duty as a conscripted policeman.
Him having to take up his duties had forced his band T-MAX's debut in Japan which was originally set for this summer.
T-MAX is a four-man band that Kim, 27, made his debut through in 2007 and is best known for their song "Paradise", the soundtrack for "Boys Over Flowers."
The official said, "It is unknown how and when T-MAX will resume their music activities but we'll keep the name alive since all of our boys love music so whether it be in the form of even a duo or trio, they'll do it whenever they want."
However, she explained that the boys will focus more on their individual activities in the future including Kim who will concentrate on his acting career once he is discharged of his duties in 2013.
