
KBS' historical drama "The Princess' Man" and SBS' comic series "Protect the Boss" competed in a tight race for the top spot on the TV ratings chart this week.
Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Friday indicated that "Protect the Boss," starring Ji-sung, Choi Kang-hee, Wang Ji-hye and Kim Jae-joong, was named the most-watched show in the country with ratings of 15.3 percent on August 10 and 11, scoring its first win on the chart since airing last week.
Following closely behind in second place was "The Princess' Man," featuring Park Si-hoo and Moon Chae-won, with ratings of 13.9 percent on Wednesday and 15.2 percent last night.
However, numbers released by AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that "The Princess' Man" was the No. 1 show in the country with ratings of 17.4 percent on August 10 and 16.6 percent the following day.
"Protect the Boss" placed second on AGB's poll with ratings of 15.5 percent on Wednesday and increased by 0.9 percentage point on Thursday.
Meanwhile, MBC's "Heartstrings," starring Park Shin-hye and CNBLUE's Jung Yong-hwa, continued to lag behind in third place with viewership ratings in the six percentile range.
