[10] Lee Seung-gi not hosting own talk show

Korean singer and actor Lee Seung-gi's agency has denied Lee will host his own talk show.

An official with Hook Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone on Wednesday, "We have not heard anything about Lee hosting his own talk show nor does he have any plans on stepping down from hosting SBS' 'Strong Heart.'"

However, the official then added, "It is true that Lee was approached by producers to appear on upcoming entertainment show 'Table for 100' (translated title) but it is too early to mention anything about it since the show is still in its planning stages."

Earlier in the day, various media outlets reported that Lee was set to become the host of a new talk show and appear on an entertainment show for major broadcaster SBS.

"We have no idea where the idea of Lee hosting his own talk show came about and nothing has been set on a talk show or an outdoors variety program," an official with SBS explained.

Lee made his debut with his album "The Dream of a Moth" in 2004. He expanded his career into the different branches of entertainment including acting and hosting variety shows.

He made his comeback to the local music scene with his studio release "Tonight" and promoted title track "Love Time" in October.

He recently won the grand prize at the 2011 KBS Entertainment Awards for starring in variety show "Two Days and One Night" along with his fellow co-stars Lee Su-geun, Eun Ji-won, Uhm Tae-woong and Kim Jong-min.
