KBS2 family drama "Three Brothers" was the most-watched television show in South Korea last week, remaining atop ratings charts for a fifth consecutive week, according to statistics on Monday. Figures by TNS Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the show brought in viewership ratings of 37.2 percent and 36.8 percent, respectively, to continue its reign for the week of March 15 to 21. The weekend drama, based on the lives on three brothers, has seen its popularity grow continuously since its first airing in October 2009 which recorded ratings in the 20 percent range. KBS2 weekend drama "Three Brothers" returned to the top of weekly television charts for the third week of February, according to polls on Monday. Statistics from TNS Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research indicated the family drama reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the both charts with viewership ratings of 35.3 percent and 36.2 percent, respectively. The most-watched TV show focuses on the lives of three brothers played by actors Ahn Nae-sang, Oh Dae-gyu and Lee Jun-hyuk. Last week's winner "The Slave Hunters" dropped one spot to second place with ratings of 32.2 percent on TNS' chart and 31.2 percent on AGB's survey. KBS is on a hot streak - not only does it have several strong hit dramas currently on the air, it dominates every night of the week. KBS actually has more series bringing in 30% ratings than it does in the 20% range. At the head of the pack is the weekend family drama Three Brothers, which broke 40% with a 41.7% rating for its January 31 broadcast. To put things into perspective, looking at the last week's Top 20 overall ratings, KBS occupies the top four slots. During the week of December 28 to January 3, "Three Brothers" was the most-watched TV show in the country with a 35.0 percent viewership rating, according to statistics released by TNS Media Korea on Monday.
