SBS' melodrama "Thousand Days Promise," starring Kim Rae-won and Soo-ae, was the No. 1 show for its sixth consecutive win during the fourth week of November despite its slight drop in TV ratings. On Wednesday, data by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) showed that "Promise" posted an average rating of 15.5 percent which is a decrease of half a percentage point compared to last week. "Promise" also topped AGB Nielsen Media Research's survey though its figures revealed that the series pulled in an average rating of 17.1 percent. Starring Kim Rae-won and Soo-ae, "Promise" earned a 15.8 percent rating on November 14 which increased by 0.4 percentage points the following night, according to the data from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday. Actor Kim Rae-won has been discharged from the military and has resumed his activities. Kim, who made a quiet return to being a civilian on Tuesday after two years of serving as a public service officer, started on his official activities the same day by taking part in the photoshoot for UNICEF's autumn catalogue, UNICEF Korea said through a press release on Wednesday. Korean actor Kim Rae-won, who is currently serving his mandatory two-year military duty, will be returning to the small screen after three years as the male lead in an upcoming drama, according to the show's broadcaster SBS. On Wednesday, SBS announced in a press release that Kim will play the role of Ji-hyung opposite actress Soo-ae in the new drama tentatively titled "Chul-in's Promise" set to begin its air on September 26 after current series "The Warrior, Baek Dong-soo" ends its run.
