The Little Princess

The Little Princess (1939) is an American comedy drama film starring Shirley Temple, based on the classic book by Frances Hodgson Burnett. She plays Sara Crewe whose father leaves her at a seminary for girls while he goes to Africa with the army. When her father goes missing, young Sara goes from the life of privilege to that of a house maid.
