The Great Protector

Exceptional times can elicit greatness from a man. During the turbulent Xinhai Revolution era that brought about the end of the Qing Dynasty and the establishment of the Republic of China, Liu An Shun (Wallace Huo) works for Master Dai Hai Chen (Wang Qing Xiang), who runs a reputable armed escort business. As Hai Chen’s disciple, An Shun is poised to take over the business from Master Dai as well as marry his daughter, Dai Rong (Liu Yi Han). But after being betrayed by both his brother and fiancée, An Shun is forced to travel to Beijing alone, during which he befriends a female bandit, Lu Yao Ting (Jia Qing).
