Soldier

"Soldier" tells the story of a slave and former monk who rises to the top after fighting the feudal government. The military government, or Do Bang, rules the country for 60 years instead of the Emperor. The story unfolds during King Gojong's reign - where the king's authority is taken away by the military government during Koryo times. King Gojong suffered a Mongol invasion and lost the North during his reign but moved the capital to Ganghwa-do and resisted the Mongolians.
