“Mr. Piper,” which tells of the adventures of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, is a classic Canadian children’s television series that originally aired in 1963. The show as created by Martin Andrews and Allan Wargon. It was hosted by the famous Canadian opera tenor Alan Crofoot, who is dressed as the Pied Piper as he sings and introduces each segment. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation originally aired the show, but it also was popular in the United Kingdom during the 1960s and 1970s.
