I was reading your detailed comments on Still, Marry Me. I am interested in learning Korean and have been studying Japanese for almost 2 years. I will admit poorly. I love K-dramas. Since you are muti-lingual you probably already know that Japanese dramas can't even come close to K-drama. I read all your comments about the Korean language details and peculiarities only for this one ep so far. Now I am going to always go look at what you say about the show. How in the world did you get so smart?? I am just amazed. I am a native English speaker struggling along trying to learn Japanese and loving Korean so much trying to acquire knowledge from books and sites without any formal training. Thanks for all your hard work.

Thank You Baduy for your comment on April 14 at 7:30 p.m. on Midas. It is the viki philosophy of "open subbing" which started me on the road to studying the Korean language -- both in a classroom setting as well as on my own by additional textbooks, and Internet courses and podcasts. I am two weeks away from completion of my second year of classroom instruction in the Korean lanuage. Even though there are English subs available for many of the Korean dramas I work on, because viki videos are available to be subbed in so many languages other than English, I feel any volunteer's time is well spent. I frequently review changes to subtitles I have written because an important part of instruction is to learn when I have made a mistake. <br>I want to thank you (again!) for your wonderful comments -- the only downside now is that before I watch a video, I need to scan a lot of comments by others to find the pearls you have cast in the comment section.

midas 12 ... more closely in anglophone culture they "throw up their/my hands" to give up because they have tried their best to have a "hand" in fixing the problem. this is more accurate than just shaking head for this severity of physical movement. thank you for your help is korean translation
