jTBC responds to accusations of using Yoochun's pictures

jTBC has issued an official statement in response to the accusations of using JYJ member Yoochun's photos.

During a phone interview that took place on February 10th with StarN, a jTBC representative remarked, "It is true that we have released a report regarding an idol star and naked photos, however, we did not make any mention of Park Yoochun."

Ahead of this on the 9th, jTBC reported that the former girlfriend of an unnamed idol star was using naked photos to blackmail him for over $800,000 USD.

In the report, they had used blurred photos of Park Yoochun and netizens had found the original copies of the photos in comparison, thus drawing conclusions that the idol star was Yoochun.

However, jTBC stood their ground saying, "We did not violate any principles of news reporting. The photos were pixelated / blurred before being released, and we have never revealed the identity of the idol star in question. It was the third parties who speculated that the idol star was Park Yoochun, and therefore it has nothing to do with us."

Meanwhile, JYJ's agency C-JeS Entertainment strongly denied the reports saying, "The idol star in question is not Park Yoochun. In the event that these rumors prove to be false and an invasion of privacy, we will immediately seek legal action through legal advisors."

JYJ's Yoochun denies that he is the idol victim who got blackmailed by an ex-girlfriend

Allkpop reported about an idol star who was being blackmailed by a former girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend had threatened to release naked photos of the idol star if she was not compensated financially.

The issue is currently the hottest topic online, and netizens began to speculate that the unnamed idol was none other than JYJ member, Park Yoochun. The rumors spread like wildfire on the Internet, causing JYJ to personally step out and address the issue.

On February 10th, a JYJ representative spoke with eDaily Star and stated, "We've checked with Park Yoochun and learned that he has no connection whatsoever with the event. These are unproven speculations, and to be honest, it is shocking to us as well. We've been struggling to decide whether we should make an official announcement about this matter since we had nothing to do with it. However, we became increasingly worried as the rumors spread."

The issue revolves around a former girlfriend of an idol star, who threatened to leak a naked photo of his upper body. The girlfriend also threatened his agency, saying that if they did not pay her 1 billion KRW, she would release more photos, supposedly taken in October of 2011.

But the problems don't stop there. Additional rumors are spreading on the Internet, asserting that there are also videos of the idol and his former girlfriend. Prosecutors have announced that they have collected the pictures from the woman, but videos were not found.

Unnamed idol star gets blackmailed by ex-girlfriend

A famous idol star whose identity has yet to be revealed is rumored to have been blackmailed by his ex-girlfriend.

The former girlfriend threatened to leak video footage of his naked body over the internet if he refused to hand over $890,000 USD. She claims to have clips of the two recorded during the time of their relationship.

At the time, the idol star was filming multiple CFs and drama series; seeing his soaring popularity, the woman decided to use the videos to blackmail him. After being threatened continuously, the idol star finally decided to put in an investigation request, and the videos have since been confiscated by investigators.

Although the nature of the crime is rather unethical, the offense will be summarily indicted since it's reported to be her first offense.
