About Me

Status: Graveh, hirap mag translate ng meaning. Nakaka saket ng ulo. blush

Currently subbing: Mula sa Puso

How I translate

I only sub and translate Tagalog-English equivalent and meanings, depending on the context being talk about. For example, in Mula sa Puso Episode 1 Part 2 at 0:18, the actress is talking about a cliché.

Ang taas kasi ng lipad mo. Tagalog
It's cause you fly too high. Word for word
You aim too high. English Equivalent
The actresses are discussing about a failure in love or stuff that's impossible to achieve. Aim too high is a cliché in english language that's commonly use in similar situations. Therefore, it is the english equivalent I use. If the setting is about an instructor talking to a pilot, or anything related to flying then that's when I'd use word for word.

Backward translation

Tagalog language is complex and just like Spanish, the words spoken are backward or may appear jumbled if translated to English word for word.

Pupunta ako dyan. Tagalog
Going I'm there. Word for word
I'm going there. English Equivalent
That's just a short one sentence example. I've seen long two sentence being spoken where the 2nd sentence must be first and 1st sentence should be next. Otherwise it wont make sense.

English is my second language! feel free to correct my sub with correct grammar and punctuation or let me know! Remember I'm only subbing for non tagalog speakers, its for them so they can watch filipino films; so if you believe you can do a better translation, feel free to do so! ^_____^
