Ahhh, that helps a lot in knowing the differences between Saengcho and other normal villages. Now we can see even more how funny things can develop in the story because there are misunderstandings even between the people who are Koreans. Thanks a lot. <3

Hi Rodins, AllieG8ter wondered if you need some pointers on subbing. Shall I give you the express version of Viikii's tutorial material? If you look at the right side of the screen for viewing dramas, you will see a tab in the upper right corner called "Caption & Subtitle". Click on that. A column will open that is divided into segments. (This is what "seggers" do. Hard work!) Each segment is supposed to be correctly timed so that it matches the action on the screen. When you hear an actor say their line, you can click on the segment that says "No English caption. Click here to input." The box will turn from blue to white. This means that you can type in your English version of what the actor said. When you are finished typing, click the Enter key on your keyboard. A dialog box will open that asks if you want to save your subtitle. Click on Save and your sentence is saved in the box. Go to the next box and repeat it for the next sentence. If you notice that the subtitle does not appear on the viewing screen at the same time as the actor speaks, you can go back to the segment and enter the box, "Discard" the subtitle, and then move to the correct box for that sentence. If you have lots of time --- Haha, I know I am dreaming, right?! -- the same process is possible in the segment box labeled "No Korean caption. Click here to input." You type in the actor's words using 한글 and then Enter and Save. This kind of subbing is a big help to people who can read Korean better than they can listen to it. They can also do the translation into other languages directly from Korean in that way without depending for the English subtitiles. The best way to learn is by doing. But if after trying, you still have questions, let me know. :-D

Dear Rodins, AllieG8ter asked me to write to you about subbing. Do you have some time so that you can help us with OUATISC? It is an interesting series but some of the jokes just don't make sense to me since I am not a native speaker of Korean. Like the ramyeon named 누구니 . I am sure that is supposed to be some kind of pun but it isn't funny in English so there is no way I can translate that to make it seem funny to foreigners. Those are the kinds of things that are too hard for me to do. Of course, when the 삼진 president starts shouting, I can't catch his words either. So that is another problem area. The mysterious deaths of the 3 people in the photograph has my curiosity but so far there are not enough clues to guess what will happen in that storyline. Have you noticed anything special there? My suggestion is this. If you are willing, please go ahead and start subbing. It would be good if you could fill in the missing parts of Episode #2 so that the viewers can understand everything. But if you are short on time, just go to #3. In that way we will be most up to date. Thank you for your help. Have a nice day. <3

hi rodins, thank you for the summary..hehehe. I was hoping you can help us fill in the missing subs with your understanding of Korean. When reading your posts over in YDKW i feel you're the person that can help us with subs. The current subbers are trying their best to translate but they said some lines are beyond their understanding now, so they are not able to translate. That's why i hope that you can help us with your subs since i think you understand quite a bit more. Thank you again for the summary.

Hello rodins, I allready offered you to answer your question and that you can pm me any time, but it would be nice of you, not to post at the "star house" again. I was at the KBS web side but I am not able to read hangul, so can't tell what exactly they are airing next week. As there was nothing mentioned in this article that they brought up after the last ep. There should not be any short drama by 2 eps or a tv show related to one of the dramas. So it is most likely that the time slot for these days will only be filled with news/ interviews/ music/ Tv shows etc. http://www.hancinema.net/bread-love-and-dreams-makes-proud-exit-on-small-screen-25123.html Hope you aren't to disappointed.

Hi rodins, welcome to viikii! Seems that you're a newbie. Hope you will enjoy viikii. There's so much things in which u can help. Well to tell you something, two of my friends are korean, and we watch the dramas together, and they feel the same way as I do about KH. I met their parents and they're far away from KH, lol. I've been segmenting and translating several kdramas and honestly there are a lot of examples of heads of family that are the opposite of KH: Shining Inheritance, the GrandMa she's so empathic, giving her society to her employees. Will it Snow 4 Xmas, JW father,an oriental doctor who helps the others. Smile You. The Grandfather help JI family and he gives SJ money for the shop. 1% of anything, too Well I mean it's not about kr culture. I know that french and korean culture are different. Althought I'm some kind of "melting pot", I got different ethnies in my blood, so I can understand so much what you're talking about. But saying that KH character is something linked to kr culture is not so right. I know guys is real life like him, not korean, they lived in their bubble, just becoz they're like that. It's their attitude, their behaviour, their childhood consequences... Well also you're right when you say about KH "welcoming" a starnger and 5 kids at home I already say that. But I'm talking about the KH before "welcoming" PalK in his life. The lawyer chased by PalK, for 5 years, who tries to protect him in the "egg attack", but KH doesn't thank her, and doesn't even remember her name, it's in the first episode that you can see him acting like that. Well no matter how much we will talk, each one of us as a different opinion, and still kdramas are just fiction, not serious stuff. AND real life is viikii, if you got some issues as i used to when starting, ask me whenever you want, my english is not perfect so hope you don't matter to much! C U, and enjoy your kdramas with viikii!!!!!!!!!!!!!
