These days I am not active on viki, though I do peek in at times (like today)
It's wonderful to feel that there are plenty others to take the baton.

korean alphabets:

consonants- ㄱ ㄴ ㄷ ㄹ ㅁ ㅂ ㅅ ㅇ ㅈ ㅊ ㅌ ㅎ

vowels - ㅏ ㅑ ㅓ ㅕ ㅗ ㅛ ㅜ ㅠ ㅡ ㅣ ㅐ ㅔ

sounds- consonants
ㄱ g in girl
ㄴ n
ㄷ d
ㄹ r/L (you know what I mean)
ㅁ m
ㅂ b
ㅅ s
ㅇ when a syllable lacks a beginning consonent, this symbol is used and the vowel is read.
ㅈ j
ㅊ ch
ㅍ p
ㅎ h

sounds- vowels
ㅏ "ah"
ㅑ "yeah" this is a little tricky because it's not "yes, yay but yah..." lol
ㅓ "uh" in up
ㅕ "yuh" yup
ㅗ "oh"
ㅛ "yoh"
ㅜ "oo" as in too
ㅠ "yoo" as in tube
ㅡ "eu"
ㅣ "ih" like in
ㅐ "a" in bad
ㅔ "e" in bed
there are double consonants like ㄲ, ㅆ, ㄸ, ㅉ, ㅃ
these should be read with more tension of the lips.
for instance: ㄱ-ㄲ, ㅅ-ㅆ, ㄷ-ㄸ, ㅈ-ㅉ, ㅂ-ㅃ

mixed vowels can give you headaches but the more you read korean, the better you will get. you can always ask me, too ^^
