Sometimes a little thing called marriage can interfere with your social life, especially your ability to date other people. That’s the predicament that Seo Bo Eun (Moon Geun Young), a high school teenager, and Park Sang Min (Kim Rae Won), a college student, find themselves in because of their grandfathers. Friends since the Korean War, the grandfathers always vowed that they would become in-laws in their lifetimes. With time running out, they exert their will and force the two youngsters to marry. The families keep the marriage under wraps, and Bo Eun tries to live her normal high school life, including dating her school’s star baseball player, Jung Woo (Park Jin Woo). Sang Min also is hoping that the marriage thing won’t crimp his playboy style in going after all the pretty college co-eds. But things get complicated when Sang Min is sent to Bo Eun’s high school as a student teacher. Is their relationship truly only a paper marriage? “My Little Bride” is a 2004 South Korean film directed by Kim Ho Jun. It is a Korean remake of the 2002 Hong Kong film “My Wife Is 18,” starring Charlene Choi and Ekin Cheng.
