Can two teenage boys, one a Hutu and the other a Tutsi, maintain their close friendship despite pressures from Rwanda’s past ethnic discord? Muyurangabo, an orphan of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, departs from Kigali to the countryside with his friend Sangwa – each on his own very personal journey. The boys’ friendship is put to the test by Sangwa’s parents, who believes Hutus and Tutsis should not be friends. Can the boys preserve their friendship and heal from the aftermath of the genocide?
