Can you run away from your own fate? When Prince Mu Hyul (Song Il Gook) is born into the royal family, he was cursed to someday kill his parents, siblings and son and cause the downfall of the entire country. Scared of the prophecy, King Yu Ri (Jung Jin Young) orders his older song, Prince Hae Myung (Lee Jong Won), to take the baby away from the palace and live among commoners. Hae Myung takes Mu Hyul to be raised by Hye Ap (Oh Yoon Ah), the chief decorator, who works in King Ju Mong’s grave. Twenty years later, Mu Hyul discovers that he alone can remove the Sword of Ju Mong – the owner of which is said to rule the Northern territory. When a series of events results in Hae Myung’s death, Mu Hyul believes King Yu Ri is responsible and joins forces with the Black Shadows, the secret army of Buyeo, to seek revenge. Thrown together with Prince Do Jin of Buyeo (Park Gun Hyung) and Princess Yeon (Choi Jung Won), is Mu Hyul doomed to live out his destiny? “The Kingdom of the Winds” is a 2008 South Korean historical drama series directed by Kang Il Soo.
