Moon So Ri is a South Korean actress, film director, and screenwriter. She was born in Busan, South Korea on July 2, 1974 and made her debut in the entertainment world in 1995 when she joined the theater group, “Hangang”. She took her first film role in 2000, appeared in her first television drama in 2007, and made her directorial debut in 2014. Since her debut, she has appeared in numerous films and television dramas, including “Legend of the Blue Sea” (2016), “Little Forest” (2018), and “Juror 8” (2019).

Ja Young, the team manager of Human Resources, is a cold-hearted woman who is an overly diligent workaholic. She is currently racing towards her goal to get a promotion to an executive position. At this point, Ja Young is given a secret mission as Ban Seok, who worked for over 22 years as an engineer, transfers to Human Resources as her subordinate. On the other hand, Se Kwon, the ex-husband of Ja Young, was able to get promotion way too quickly as the head of the Research and Development Team 1 with his flexibility and brilliant speech. However, he has his own challenges and weaknesses that nobody knows about. In 2008, South Korea held its first criminal trial by jury. The case presented to the court was supposed to be an easy one, as the defendant himself freely admitted to brutally murdering his mother. However, what was supposed to be a simple, open-and-shut case turns into something more, when one of the jurors, a young entrepreneur named Kwon Nam Woo (Park Hyung Sik), begins to question everything.

Without the unanimous vote of the jury, the judge, Kim Joon Gyum (Moon So Ri), is forced to re-examine the evidence and call for a new debate, to determine whether or not the defendant is guilty or not guilty.

Refusing to bow to the pressure of the majority, Kwon Nam Woo begins a thorough investigation of the case on his own. Sifting through countless investigation records, he repeatedly questions the defendant’s admission of guilt. As his investigation continues, he begins to find the evidence he needs to substantiate his doubt. Slowly joined in his search for the truth by the other jurors, Kwon Nam Woo begins to break through the majority opinion to uncover the truth and set the standard for true justice.

Based on a true story, “Juror 8” is a 2019 film directed by Hong Seung Wan.

Ye Jin Woo (Lee Dong Wook) works as a doctor in the Sangkook University Hospital’s emergency care department. He is well-liked and is known for his caring ways. He enjoys working at the hospital. And things start to get even worse for him when the issue of cover-ups concerning patients’ deaths starts to become pressing.
