Nichkhun is a popular singer and actor working in South Korea who is best known as a member of the popular K-pop boy group 2PM. Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul was born on June 24, 1988, in Rancho Cucamonga, California, to a Thai father and a Chinese-American mother. He has had a global upbringing, moving with his family to Thailand at the age of 5, then going to study in New Zealand at the age of 12 before moving back to the United States to attend high school in Rancho Cucamonga. After graduating high school, Nichkhun was working as a coach for a high school badminton team when he was scouted by JYP Entertainment at the Los Angeles Korean Music Festival. After passing the audition process, Nichkhun was brought to South Korean as a trainee in 2006. During the grueling training process, which was documented in the reality show “MNET’s Hot Blood,” Nichkhun had to learn to sing and dance, learn Korean and Mandarin, and physically bulk up. After two years, Nichkhun debuted as a part of the boy group 2PM in 2008. In addition to his music activities, Nichkhun’s fame has grown since 2010 after hosting the talent competition “Superstar Survival” and starring in the Korean variety show “We Got Married” with pretend wife Victoria of f(x). The versatile star also has starred in many popular films, television dramas and variety shows in Thailand, China, Japan and Korea.
