Son Hyun Joo is an award-winning South Korean veteran actor. Born on June 24, 1965, he began his acting career in 1991 and has won numerous acting awards in both films and television dramas. His roles in the drama “The Chaser” (2012) and film “Hide and Seek” (2013) were unexpected hits, and he also on Best Actor at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival in 2017 for his role in the film “Ordinary Person.”

Kang Do Chang (Son Hyun Joo) and Oh Ji Hyeok ( Jang Seung Jo) are detectives in the South Korean port city of Incheon. The series is based on a real-life crime spree that took place between 1986 and 1991 where 10 women were raped and murdered in the same geographic area in South Korea. The 2003 film “Memories of Murder” and the 2014 television drama “Gap Dong” also were based on the same events.
