Hwang Jung Min is a South Korean actor who was born on September 1, 1970, in South Gyeongsang Province. He started out as a musical actor, making his debut in a stage play production of “Line 1” in 1995. He later transitioned to movie acting and appeared in a number of box office smash hits, such as “New World” (2013), “Ode to My Father (2014),” and “Veteran” (2015).

The year is 2007 and in Afghanistan, a bloody multinational conflict is raging, with a range of troops from the United States and its allies – including South Korea – are stationed in the country. Meanwhile, a group of Christian missionaries from a South Korean Presbyterian church has entered the country, against government guidelines, on a quest to evangelize among the Afghan population.
