Choi Moo Sung is a South Korean actor. He was born January 12, 1968 and made his acting debut in 2002. At 34, he made quite a splash with his debut role and has been a highly sought after supporting player ever since. Averaging appearances in three films and three television dramas a year since his debut, he can be found in an incredible number of works including, “Reply 1998” (2015), “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (2016), and “The Nokdu Flower” (2019).

While the king is happy for his son’s safe return, their differences in opinion regarding the future direction of the dynasty upsets King Injo so much, that he soon begins to suffer from severe anxiety and paranoia. With eyes that can only see in the dark, Kyung Soo witnesses Sonhyeon’s murder but all of his attempts to reveal the culprit are discounted due to his blindness. As the first son of a wealthy and important government official, Baek Yi Kang (Jo Jung Suk) ought to have grown up with the world at his feet. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. In the late 18th century, the Joseon King believes that a spate of murders may have been committed as part of a wider conspiracy. So he dispatches the finest investigator in the land, Detective K (Kim Myung Min), to investigate. His probe leads him to a prison – but when he arrives, he finds that the prison governor has been killed with a long needle. When he removes the needle, guards find him and believe he is the murderer. He is locked up in a cell along with a dog trader named Seo Pil (Oh Dal Soo). The latter also has the ability to dig holes like a dog – so helps Detective K escape from prison.

With Seo Pil as his new right-hand man, Detective K begins another investigation, hoping it will help him get to the bottom of what he believes to be a case of poisoning involving a rare, toxic flower. This new probe sees his path cross with the stunning Han Kaek Joo (Han Ji Min), a charismatic female trade magnate who appears to hold the key to a number of the secrets involved with the case. But as the investigation deepens, Detective K starts to realize that the conspiracy may be much more complex than he first feared!
