Baek Il Seob is a South Korean actor who was born on June 10, 1944, in Yeosu, South Korea. He studied at Myongji University, where he majored in English Literature. He made his acting debut aged 21 in 1965, and went on to appear in movie titles such as United Front (1967) and “Revenge” (1968). He has continued to act in movies and dramas ever since, starring in hit drama titles such as “Foundation of the Kingdom” (1983), “Flames of Desire” (2010), and “Can't Stand Anymore” (2013). He also appeared in the hit reality TV show “Grandpas Over Flowers” (2013-2015).

Variety Show “Grandpas Over Flowers” Off To Great Start

They say every child is a blessing. For 17-year-olds Dae Soo (Kang Dong Won) and Mi Ra (Song Hye Kyo), it is a terrifying prospect. When the young couple meets and falls in love, Mi Ra becomes pregnant and decides to have the baby against her parents’ wishes.

Dae Soo works as a taxi driver and Mi Ra works at a laundromat to support themselves and their son, Ah Reum (Jo Sung Mok). But their lives are complicated even further by the fact that Ah Reum is born with Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes accelerated aging in children. At the age of 16, Ah Reum’s body has degenerated that of an 80-year-old man, and he realizes that he doesn’t have long to live. Ah Reum decides to share the story of his life with the world through a television show. How will the world react to his very unusual life?
