Huang Lei is a Chinese actor, director, singer and screenwriter. Born on November 6, 1971, he graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 1997, staying on as a professor after graduation. He made his acting debut in the 1991 film “Life on a String.” He wrote and directed his first television series, “Si Shui Nian Hua,” in 2003, and wrote and directed his first film, “Chocolate,” in 2006. He has starred in many television series and films since, including “Phantom Lover” (2005), “Library” (2006), “Nan Ren Bang” (2011), “Fu Qi Na Xie Shi” (2012) and “Honey Bee Man” (2015). Huang Lei also has sung the theme songs of a few of his works. Huang Lei’s father is actor Huang Xiao Li and his wife is actress Sun Li.
