Henry Lau is a singer-songwriter, record producer and actor. Born on October 11, 1989, in Toronto, Ontario, in Canada, he is now based out of South Korea and goes by the single moniker Henry. He is best known for being a member of the K-pop boy group Super Junior-M, which debuted in 2008 as the Mandarin offshoot of Super Junior. Henry’s father is from Hong Kong and his mother is from Taiwan. He is fluent in English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese. Henry broke into the Korean entertainment industry after being one of only two people recruited out of 3,000 contestants during the 2006 SM Entertainment Global Audition in Toronto. Henry’s many talents include violin, piano, drum, guitar, popping, Latin dance, ballet, beat box, rap and singing. Henry has composed many songs for Super Junior and Super Junior-M and is part of a music production team known as Noize Bank, which has produced and composed many songs. His appearances on the reality shows “Real Men” (2014) and “We Got Married Season 4” (2015) with pretend wife Yewon of Jewelry increased Henry’s popularity, and he remains a popular guest on many Korean variety shows. Henry made his acting debut in the lead role in 2013 film “Final Recipe” and has also starred in the television dramas “Persevere, Goo Hae Ra” (2015) and “Oh My Venus” (2015).
