Gongchan is the stage name of Gong Chan Sik, a South Korean singer and actor. Born on August 14, 1993, he is best known as a vocalist and the youngest member of the K-pop boy band B1A4. Gongchan was first discovered online when he won an “eoljjang challenge” in middle school. “Eoljjang,” also written as “ulzzang,” is a Korean slang term that means “best face” and is used to refer to people who are considered to have a pretty face. After two years of training, Gongchan debuted with B1A4 in 2011. After many appearances on television variety shows since 2011, Gongchan was named as an MC for the music variety “A Song for You Season 4” in 2015, along with f(x)’s Amber and SuperJunior’s Kangin.
