Hata Mei is a Japanese actress. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, on April 10, 2002, and made her acting debut in 2011. Since then, she has appeared in both film and a variety of television dramas, including “O Maidens in Your Savage Season” (2020).

Fukuhara Kota (Sota Ryosuke) is a bumbling college student who is plagued by terrible luck. Although he never gets down about it, you can bet if something could possibly go wrong when he’s around, it almost certainly will! One day, he is about to walk in front of a car and end up in a traffic accident when he is saved by a fellow college student named Naoya Shinomiya (Yusuke Sato). The latter is Kota’s polar opposite: His “problem” is that he is “cursed” with endless good fortune.

Kota is grateful for Naoya’s assistance, and tries to ask his new acquaintance to be his friend – but phrases his request badly and accidentally leads Naoya to believe he is asking for them to become lovers. The “lucky” Naoya surprisingly agrees and the duo embarks on an unorthodox relationship. Will Kota’s chaos bring a taste for the unknown into Naoya’s life? And will romance bring spell the end for Kota’s bad luck?

Friends since childhood, Kazusa Onodera (Anna Yamada) and Momoko Sudo (Mei Hata) have grown up together, sharing every moment of their lives with each other. Now in high school, the two girls decide it’s time to branch out and try something new. Drawn to the school’s literature club, the girls agree to join, not knowing that in doing so, their lives would take some interesting and unexpected turns.

As president of the club, Rika Sonezaki (Mayuu Yokota) welcomes the members, both old and new, including Kazusa’s new friend, Niina Sugawara (Tina Tamashiro) and Hitoha Hongo (Shuri Tanaka), the club’s resident aspiring novelist. Suggesting they do a little ice breaker, to get to know each other, the girls are asked a simple question: “What’s one thing you want to do before you die?” With answers that both shock and embarrass, the girls instantly begin to bond.&nbsp;

Despite their differences, the five girls form an unexpected friendship. Side-by-side they navigate the tricky waters of high school, taking their first clumsy and sometimes painful steps towards adulthood, together.

Based on the manga series of the same name, written by Mari Okada, “O Maidens in Your Savage Season” is a 2020 romantic high school drama directed by Mai Sakai, Aya Igashi, and Keita Mizunami.
