Can a group of guys who hang out in a sento, a Japanese communal bathhouse, scheme up ways to get a date? The family of Hanashima (Hidenori Tokuyama) owns a public bathhouse, and that’s where you’ll find him most days, chillin’ inside a giant bathtub with his buddies as they try to come up with ways to throw dating parties. But no matter how good his ideas are, Hanashima somehow ends up unconscious and time-slips right back to the bathhouse where he started. How can Hanashima break out of this hopeless loop and seize his future? “Party Starts in a Public Bath” is a 2012 Japanese film written and directed by Keita Matsuda.
