When does something unattainable set you on your course in life? Yoo Min (Yoon Eun Hye) is a 24-year-old woman who still doesn’t know what she wants to do in life. But when she sees an expensive little black mini-dress at a luxury department store, she knows she has to have it even though she can’t afford it. She uses the credit card of a famous writer to buy the dress, and as a result, ends up accepting a job as the writer’s assistant. But the job ends up just being a glorified babysitter for the writer’s twin sons. Yoo Min’s three best friends face their own personal struggles that test their friendship. Hye Ji (Park Han Byul) always has had a comfortable, socialite life that has been the envy of her friends. But when she’s scouted by a talent agency and shoots to fame as a model, her friends can’t quite find it in their hearts to be happy for her. Soo Jin (Cha Ye Ryun) is the most upset about Hye Ji’s sudden fame because she has been trying unsuccessfully for years to become an actress. Min Hee (Yoo In Na) also has had a comfortable life, but everything changes when her parents get divorced. She wants to study abroad but her poor English skills prevent her from being able to do so. Can the four friends find the support they need to go after what they really want in life? “Little Black Dress” is a 2011 South Korean film directed by Heo In Moo.
