A final case before retirement may derail the career of a top forensic pathologist. Kang Min Ho (Sol Kyung Gu) had hoped to retire to spend time with his daughter, who has just returned from a long period of time overseas. But a dismembered corpse of a young woman turns up in the river, and Min Ho agrees to take on one last case before he retires from his career as an eminent forensic pathologist. Environmental activist Lee Sung Ho (Ryoo Seung Bum) readily confesses to the killing to rookie detective Min Seo Young (Han Hye Jin), saying he did it to protest a new development that would cut the river into six parts. But when the authorities investigate further, Sung Ho’s confession doesn’t hold up. When Sung Ho’s daughter is then kidnapped, will Min Ho become embroiled in an ethical crisis that could derail his distinguished career? “No Mercy” is a 2010 South Korean film written and directed by Kim Hyung Jun.
