Ten years behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit. Jo Hyeon Woo (Kang Ha Neul) was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when he is the only witness to a violent killing of a taxi driver.

During a brutal police interrogation, Hyeon Woo confesses to the murder, even though he had nothing to do with it and ends up in prison for 10 years. Behind bars, Hyeon Woo has a tough time, a frequent victim to the many brutalities of the other inmates. His long-suffering mother, Soon Im (Kim Hae Sook), tries desperately to prove her son’s innocence and feels helpless as she witnesses Hyun Woo become a changed man due to the harshness of prison life.

When Hyun Woo’s case catches the attention of attorney Lee Joon Yeong (Jung Woo), he sees an opportunity to make a name for himself and relieve his financial woes. But as Joon Yeong becomes more involved in proving Hyeon Woo’s innocence, he becomes more determined to find justice for the young man. Will he succeed?
