Summer Holiday

Summer Koo (Sammi Cheng) is down on her luck. She has just been laid off from work and finds herself badly in need of money. She thinks she has a lifeline, however, as a while ago, she and her cousin got some money together and co-bought a vacation resort in a Malaysian tourist destination. Summer travels to Malaysia to sell off the property. But when she arrives, she is shocked to discover that her cousin has already sold off his half of the resort (without telling her) to a man named Mo Mo Cha (Richie Ren). They find themselves at cross purposes as Summer Koo wants to sell up, but Mo Mo Cha says wants to retain ownership – and does not want to buy her out. The duo bickers, but the longer they spend in each other’s company, the more they realize that they have a mutual attraction. Could love be the tonic to end Summer Koo and Mo Mo Cha’s woes in this idyllic, sun-soaked summer hotspot? “Summer Holiday” is a 2000 movie that was directed by Jingle Ma.
