A young man with no prospects lands his dream job because of a computer error. Kang Ho (Eric Mun) was never good at academics and never stuck to any sport because of the hard training required. He ends up going to a second-tier university and majoring in physical education. After graduating college, he can’t seem to land a job and spends his days reading comic books and bumming money off his younger brother. Once in awhile, Kang Ho would send out his resume to companies to show his parents that he is making an effort to find a job, although he is never even called in for an interview. When Kang Ho runs into a high school friend, Park Bong Sam (Oh Ji Ho), he decides to apply to Bong Sam’s large company. Despite bungling the interview, Kang Ho is surprisingly picked as a top recruit due to a computer error. Kang Ho is thrust into a highly competitive work environment alongside the overachieving Bong Sam; Lee Mi Ok (Han Ga In), a hard-working contract employee who has a surprising past connection to Kang Ho; and Seo Hyun Ah (Lee So Yeon), a pampered young woman who has always had everything handed to her. Can the unqualified Kang Ho get by in his new job only on his charisma and street smarts? “Super Rookie” is a 2005 South Korean drama series directed by Han Hee.
