Kris Wu is a Chinese Canadian singer and actor. He is a former member of the popular K-pop group EXO and its Mandarin subgroup EXO-M. He was born on November 6, 1990, in China and then immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, in Canada with his mother when he was 10. Kris Wu participated in an audition for a Korean entertainment company in Vancouver when he was 18 and moved to South Korea in 2008 to become a trainee after passing the auditions. He debuted as a member of EXO in 2012 but then filed a lawsuit to terminate his contract in 2014. Since leaving the group, Kris Wu went on to find tremendous success with his solo music career and films, winning numerous acting awards. His films “Mr. Six” (2015) and “Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back” (2017) hit No. 1 at the box office and are among the highest-grossing Chinese films of all time. Kris Wu also made his Hollywood debut in the 2017 film “xXx: Return of Xander Cage” with Vin Diesel. In 2014, Kris Wu was the youngest celebrity to get a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Shanghai and is considered one of the most influential Asian stars working today.

Wilber Pan, also known as Will Pan or Pan Wei Bo, is a Taiwanese-American singer, songwriter, rapper, actor and entrepreneur. He was born in West Virginia, United States on August 6, 1980 and made his debut in the entertainment world in 2001 when he signed with BMG and made his first appearance in a television drama. In 2002, he released his debut Mandarin solo album and released his second album the following year. Since debut, he has released several albums, held numerous concerts, released several books, won countless awards, appeared in various films, television dramas, and variety shows, including “The Rap of China 2019”.

Gloria Tang Sze-wing, also known as Tang Tsz-kei or by her stage name, G.E.M., is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter and actress. She was born on August 16, 1991 and made her debut in the entertainment world in 2006 when she signed with Hummingbird Music, after winning a singing competition; but it wasn’t until 2008 that she released her first official solo album. In 2009 she made her debut as an actress and has since appeared in various films, television dramas, and variety programs, including “The Rap of China 2019”.

G.E.M.

Yao Chung Jen, better known by his stage name, MC Hotdog, is a Taiwanese rap artist. He was born in Taipei on April 10, 1978 and though he began performing publicly in 1996, he didn’t make his official debut in the entertainment world until 2000, when he signed with Magic Rock Records. Since debut, he has released several albums, toured extensively, and won several awards. His most recent albums have consistently been met with both high critical acclaim and huge commercial success. With his music being used for everything from commercials to karaoke, he was a natural choice for a judge in the survival reality program, “The Rap of China 2019”.

Chang Chen Yue, also known as A-Yue, or by his Amis name, Ayal Komod, is an aboriginal Taiwanese songwriter, singer, guitarist, and actor. He was born in Su’ao, Yilan County, Taiwan, on May 2, 1974 and made his debut in the entertainment world in 1993. Since debut, he has released numerous albums, collaborated with an number of artists, including MC Hotdog, and even makes appearances as a dance music DJ under the name, DJ Orange. The current front-man for his band, Free Night, he was a member of the band Superband from 2008-2010, and in 2015 he joined the hip-hop band, G.U.T.S. As an actor, he has appeared in several films and joined the panel of judges for the survival reality program, “The Rap of China 2019”.

Hip hop artists from across the globe flock to China to compete in China’s biggest rap competition. Performing before a star-studded panel of the judge that include: Chinese-Canadian rapper, singer and actor, Kris Wu (“Sweet Sixteen”, “Never Gone”); Taiwanese-American singer, Wilber Pan; Hong Kong singer, G.E.M.; Taiwanese rock musician and actor, Chang Chen Yue; and Taiwanese rapper MC HotDog, each contestant will do their best to win the hearts of the judges and viewers alike. As the competition progresses, each contestant will be working closely with a group of fellow contestants as well as one of the judges, who will act as a producer who guides them through the competition. The competition will be fierce but only one can take home the prize.
