Synopsis

Orphans since childhood, Xia Mo (Zhang Xue Ying) and Luo Xi (Huang Sheng Chi) grew up without the love and support of family. But all of that changed, the day they were both adopted by the same parents. With a place they could now call home, the pair of new siblings were finally able to start making their long-forgotten dreams come true. Having always dreamed of one day becoming a star, Xia Mo enters a singing contest and wins second place, a position which ultimately leads to her signing with a major entertainment company. Now on her way to making her dreams come true, she soon learns she’s managed to catch the eye of Ou Chen (Qin Jun Jie), the wealthy co-founder of the successful game company, Oushi Group. Making himself an ever-growing presence in Xia Mo’s life, Ou Chen soon sees that Luo Xi’s feelings for Xia Mo are more than those of just siblings. Jealous of their relationship, Ou Chen arranges for Luo Xi to study abroad, leaving him plenty of time to get closer to Xia Mo. There’s just one problem, his overbearing behavior has turned Xia Mo’s heart cold, ruining any chance he may have ever had with the rising star. Five years later, Luo Xi returns to Xia Mo and things between them couldn’t be better. Now a superstar himself, Luo Xi is more than happy to help Xia Mo succeed in showbiz and she’s more than happy to have him back in her life. Just when things between them couldn’t be better, Ou Chen returns, hoping to win Xia Mo’s heart once again. As love and hate entwine will either of these men be able to win Xia Mo’s heart? Or are they doomed to repeat the mistakes of their past? Based on the novel of the same name by Ming Xiao Xi, “Summer’s Desire” is a 2018 drama directed by Yu Zhong Zhong.
