April 16, 2014. It is the seventh spring since a group of Danwon high school students lost their friends in the Sewol ferry disaster. The students were 18 years old at the time they embarked on the Sewol ferry for a school field trip. Now, as 25-year-olds, they want to share their gratitude for the countless citizens who still remember their friends as stars in the sky. They want to thank the teachers who helped them cope with their pain, the people of Seogeocha Island for lending their homes after the accident, and everyone who assisted in any way possible. Today in 2021, they wear a yellow ribbon asking for us all to continue remembering the lives lost. Remember April 16.
