In order to accommodate the construction of a new dam, the residents of a rural village are forced to relocate. While they've been promised compensation, the villagers fight over the next steps. Amidst the turmoil, a traveling church group led by pastor Choi Kyung Seok (Chun Ho Jin) appears to offer assistance, appearing to perform miracles – and he gradually convinces them to donate their money to "the church" to make it into heaven. The only person who opposes Pastor Choi is ex-convict Kim Min Chul (Um Tae Goo), who's skeptical of the newcomers' motives and vows to expose the truth. However, when his younger sister Young Sun (Esom) falls for the church's tricks, he's put in an even more difficult situation. This drama is a remake of the 2013 Korean animated film "The Fake" and is a thematic sequel to the 2017 Korean drama "Save Me."
